After several coats of sealant I top it with a wax. If you see rust blooms (they look like small specks of orange, they're pretty much just contaminants from the rail road when the car was transported) then clay they car. I used it on my bathroom faucets in the sink just to see if it made a difference and dang, they are really staying clean, LOL!!! Once winter sets in I won't be able to do it again until springtime and it's a brutal environment here in the winter.Īnother nice thing about the Rejex is that you will find other uses for it. The wax over the Rejex really does make a difference in appearance and it's SO easy to do. During the summer I might put another coat of wax on once a month or so - whenever I have time after washing - it really doesn't take very long and I enjoy doing it. I start with two coats of Rejex for protection and then top it with a nice wax for appearance. In the summer it's all about appearance, in the winter, after the first snow, it's all about longevity. I live in the mountains at about 7,000 feet. You will get so many differing answers you will probably be sorry that you asked! LOL I have a white 2006 Tundra Double Cab with a camper shell. Welcome to all suggestions and discussion. But the feedback on the Collinite is so good that is why I am leaning that direction.Ģ- Since this is a new car, will a good washing be sufficient to go ahead and put a couple coats of wax on (being that the paint is new with no oxidation and will be very clean from a washing)? Do I need to lay down Duragloss 101 or something like that before applying the Collinite?ģ- And not to make this any longer than it has to be but is RejeX sealant something I can use on my alloy wheels to make cleaning brake dust much easier? Is it safe for this type of wheel? Is it effective? Additionally, while I have never used it I am very intrigued by the Zaino Bros. I've used the Zymol cleaner/wax on my red 1997 Wrangler with great results and it is so easy to use but I have chosen not to use this on my new Corolla. I've read some other forums and one poster made this comment: "I can say that IW does have a very nice look, not quite as nice as the "beauty waxes" but pretty doggone good." I don't have much recent experience with polishes and waxes but I'm just wondering if I am making the correct choice. I want to kick things off right and get a good waxing in on this thing.ġ- I've read for hours and I'm basically sold on the Collinite 845IW. I just bought a 2009 Corolla S in the white color. I have some questions for the community about caring for my new purchase.
